"Ground Water Network for Best Practices in Ground Water Management in Low
Income Countries - (GROW NET); International Geological Program (IGCP) Project no.523 " submitted by Dr S D Limaye ( India) and Dr A J Reedman (UK) has been approved by the Scientific Board of UNESCO-IUGS-IGCP. The project aims at collecting information on best practices in ground water management in low income countries; verify the effects through site visits and then post the details on Grow net Web-site. This is the only project proposal submitted from Asia-Pacific region, related to practical aspects of ground water, which has been approved this year by the IGCP.

Currently, GROW NET is seeking financial and/or technical help for establishing its Homepage on the Internet. Donor Agencies and NGOs interested in the objectives of GROW NET should kindly contact GROW NET conveners at limaye@vsnl.com and antony@areedman.wanadoo.co.uk
