Capacity Building: Through educational programmes, training of trainers (ToTs) & pilot projects.

Research: Knowledge generation and management through interdisciplinary inputs.

Advocacy/Networking: Facilitate/ advocate for policies and practices, mobilization of public opinion and policy lobbying for integrated management.

Governance Structure
1. At the regional level CapNet South Asia group comprising Country Coordinators & Regional Secretariat.

Country level comprising General members, Core Group members, coordinated by respective Country Coordinators

Specific Objectives

To facilitate process of establishing CapNets at country level in South Asian countries with a vision to extend outreach of networking activities. Such an establishment of country CapNets would help in initializing local capacity building activities and later emerge as a platform for mediating capacity building for IWRM in the region.

To identify and establish linkages between relevant capacity building institutions in the region to jointly work on training, education & research to promote CB for IWRM.

To evolve advocacy strategy for the promotion of CB for IWRM.

Regular dissemination of information about news, events, experiences & opportunities for capacity building activities for the promotion of IWRM in the region.
